She's awake

I've just heard the most exciting news imaginable...
Tor is awake and breathing on her own.

In the words of her Aunt, 'Who needs to win one hundred and one million on the lottery when you've got this news?'

There is still a long way to go, but this is the very best news at this stage.

This is THE most fantastic news ever!! I am a nurse and have been following Tor's blog for a long time and have been so inspired by her story, her honesty and her eloquence. I have told so many people about her and encouraged them to sign up for organ donation. When I read the news about the transplant I was telling people about it all day. Thanks for keeping us informed of Tors progress, send her and all her family big healing hugs xxxx

Wow that is amazing news. I am a follower of Tors blog and have been reading it for a pretty long time now and have been so inspired by how she deals with all the hurdles she has come across. I have also got many people to join the organ donor register through her story so all her hard work in campaigning is paying off :). Thanks for keeping us blog readers updated and I'm sending best wishes that she keeps on building her strength and recovering. Go Tor!

I don't know you. I don't know your family, but I've been rooting for you. Been away for a few days - just read this news and wanted to pass on my congratulations to you and yours, and to the donor family, for their generosity.

I'm so delighted to hear that Tor finally has her transplant, even as I'm sad for the donor family. One life passes on, and one life is renewed. I know Tor will make excellent use of her new lease on life, with due thanks to the family who made the sacrifice to share life with Tor during their worst hour.
